NC Concealed Carry Class

Duration – 8 hours

North Carolina law requires the classes to be 8 hours in length and will include / cover:

• NC CCH handbook & Application
• NC Laws Governing Concealed Handgun and Use of Deadly Force
• Basic Handgun safety
• Handgun proficiency test. 10 rounds each at 3, 5 and 7yds
• Basic Handgun safety
• Range safety
• Written test
• Lunch
• Handgun Rental if needed (additional $20 fee)

Please do not bring firearms into the classroom

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting – Instructor Led

Duration – 8 hours
$120

The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course introduces students to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Through this course, the students will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, pistol shooting fundamentals, and pistol shooting activities.

What you will learn:

• Safe gun handling
• Pistol and revolver parts and their function
• Ammunition
• Shooting Fundamentals
• Range rules
• Various shooting positions
• Cleaning the pistol
• Range exercises to help you continue your skills development and reinforce all that you have learned in class.

Lunch will be provided

NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting

Duration – 8 hours
$120

The NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course introduces students to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a Rifle safely. Through this course, the students will learn about Rifle parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, Rifle  shooting fundamentals, and Rifle shooting activities.

• Rifle parts and their function
• Ammunition
• Shooting Fundamentals
• Range rules
• Various shooting positions
• Cleaning the Rifle

NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting Course

Duration – 10 hours
$120

 This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for the safe and proper use of a shotgun in shooting a moving target.

More Details: This course is at least 10 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets.

Students learn:

• NRA’s rules for safe gun handling
• shotgun parts and operation
• shotgun shell components
• shotgun shell malfunctions
• shooting fundamental
• range rules
• shooting at straight away and angled targets
• cleaning

Students will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.

NRA Basic Range Safety Officer Course

Duration – 9 hours
(Limit 6 Students per class)
$125

Develops NRA Certified Range Safety Officers with the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.

This course is nine hours long and is conducted in a classroom and at a shooting facility. Range Safety Officer candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions. Each Range Safety Officer Candidate will receive an RSO Student Study Guide, a Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, an NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure and a Course Evaluation form.

Introduction to Metallic Cartridge Reloading

Duration – 8 hours
(Limit 6 Students per class)
Cost $150

Course Goal

“To provide beginning re-loaders with the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to safety reload metallic handgun cartridges.”

Lessons:
1. Introduction to Reloading and Reloading Safety
2. Centerfire Cartridge Components
3. Using the Reloading Manual and Reloading Data
4. Metallic Cartridge Reloading Equipment
5. The Metallic Cartridge Reloading Process
6. Basic Metallic Cartridge Reloading Practical Exercise
7. Course Review and Examination

Prerequisites:
The are no prerequisites for taking this course, and the material is accessible to organized and conscientious people. Be aware that attention to detail is a vital skill in safe reloading.

Course Completion:

Students will receive feedback on the practical exercises conducted during the course. There is a short written test on the lesson material at the end of the course.

Advanced Rifle Cartridge Reloading

Duration – 7 hours
(Limit 4 Students per class)
Cost $250

Course Goal

“To provide re-loaders with the knowledge and skills to safety reload metallic Rifle cartridges for Accuracy, Hunting and Long Range Shooting.”

Lessons:
1. Reloading Equipment
2. Software
4. Ladder testing
5. OBT – Optimum Barrel Time
5. Bullet seating depth
7. Importance of velocity at the target, ES, and SD’s
8. Mental approach to load development

Prerequisites:
Must have attended an Introduction to Reloading course or have been activley reloading for more than a year. Be aware that attention to detail is a vital skill in safe reloading.

Course Completion:

Students will receive feedback on the practical exercises conducted during the course. .
